Internships
Early in the program Kremena Maretchkova-Mihailova, Nikolay
Soserov, and Mladen Lyubenov said they wanted to
spend time with America reporters and editors to discuss editorial issues and
challenges of mutual concern.
These three spent Wednesday afternoon working and talking with Executive
Business Editor Lynn Hicks (top row). They
also attended the afternoon editorial meeting and exchanged questions.
Meanwhile, Silviya Georgieva
and Rumyana Bobeva had
designated marketing and advertising as particularly important in their
work. They worked Wednesday
afternoon with Dennis Blaser in marketing. At 3 p.m. the three met Dani Holliday (far right in left photo), Register senior
account executive, at G&L Clothing for a sales call. Holliday introduced Silviya and Rumyana
to store owner, Frank Marcovis (far left in left photo).
Holliday explained that G&L was one of the newspaper¹s largest
clients and that she and Marcovis would discuss an upcoming sales campaign for
the store.
